DIY Vogue V8815 Peplum Top and Ripped Jeans

In true fashion (no pun intended) I decided to go with the cliche' "out with the old and in with the new"...kinda lol. I am so excited to kick off this post with an oldie, but goodie.  I made this top last year, but I have enjoyed styling it with different looks. Although this top is old, I didn't really get a chance to post pics for the blog, so it's safe to say that I am super excited to start off with it. This top is very easy to make and comes in three styles to choose from. I've only made the long sleeve version, but I will definitely be pulling out this pattern during the spring and summer to create the other looks.

I was feeling an little edgy today, so I decided to wear this top with a pair of ripped jeans that I recently purchased during my "after Christmas sale" splurge.  I love a pair of ripped jeans, especially if they fit just right! Being petite makes it really hard to find pants (especially jeans) that have a good fit (I HATE a saggy crotch), so this purchase was  a bonus...plus they were on sale! My poor husband just found a seat at the front of the store while I grab every pair of jeans that I liked and tried them on.  I must've had ten pair of jeans and only purchased two...the struggle!
